About This File

NB: I originally prepared this package for texture swapping function of SAM Morphs for Racemenu. So, the face (racial) normal maps are not included in this package itself. If you need Vitruvia's face normal map, please download (and endorse) the original package from Nexus.

 

Vitruvia - Skin texture overhaul for males by Mandragorasprouts (for LE/ for SE) has several point to note, though it's compatible neither with SAM nor with SAM Light.

  • 4K detailed face/ body diffuse (skin) texture (Normal maps are 2K, though)
  • One of the least chiselled muscles among many male mods
  • SoS support and AFAIK the most well-done way of hiding the seam between the body and the genital NiTriShape part in the Crotch Area. 
  • Almost complete (rough2 is missing) set of new complexion of male face.
  • Scarred skin as well as normal maps.
  • Its skin texture is not 100% (complete seam-free) compatible with other-vanilla like skins texures, but very versatile and can be used togeter with other vanilla-friendly skin re-textures like Skysight Skins,  at least in my very bad eyes (see also one of SSs posted).

 

In course of updating my other (crude) SAM Light adaptation package, Skysight Skins for SAM Light (w/ elder race normal), I found that the author was no longer active in mod making but she/he gave a permission to use his files as assets as long as with due credit. So, With Vitruvia I updated SAM light adaptation of Skysight Skins first. Then, I also prepared this package in order to use together with Skysight Skins for SAM Light ('s face texture). 

 

What is included in this package: 

  • Skin (Diffuse Maps): Face (4K DXT1 compressed), Body (4K DXT1 compressed: adapted from hairy version, made compatible with SAM High Poly Conversion's Toenails), Hands (1K DXT1 compressed, made compatible with SAM High Poly Conversion's Fingernails)
  • Normal Maps: Body (2K uncompressed for LE; BC7 compressed for SE: in fact, combining mainly Vitruvia original in the upper and SAM Light Texture Add-on in the lower body), Hands (2K uncompressed for LE; BC7 compressed for SE). Both are compatible with SAM High Poly Conversion. Face normal is not included (even for the Nords). 
  • Specular Maps: Same as Skysight Skins for SAM (2K/ 1K DXT1 compressed: Wet Skins based on CMO: Complete Male Overhaul by Mok Chaoticran
  • Subsurface Maps: due to my laziness, only black dots one (for LE non-ENB user) is included. If you don't like it, just delete them.
  • Face Complexions: a little tweaked from original. 1K Uncompressed.
  • Bonus: Scarred Body Skin/ Normal Maps. I include them in 'malebody_01.dds/ malebody_01_msn.dds'. You can assign these scarred textures to your PC's body from SAM textures menu with SAM Morphs for Racemenu. 

 

All the credits & endorsement should be given to the original authors (please also visit their original download site and endorse the original), not me.

Thank you for your comment, but I'm not a texture artist myself (just can convert the original into SAM light's UV Map), what I wiil be able to tweak further is unfortunately fairly limited.

  • no chest hair: almost certainly possible (since the original author also provides hairless one) within a week.
  • 3d public hair / more hairs on the pudendum: ? This mod does not have  3d mesh for public hair. Which do you wish for pubes (more or less)? Or what do you mean the word 'pudendum' (possibly not the pubes?) 
  • I have some body hair photoshop files for male body, but I afraid that they don't much fine body hair of the original of this mod and I cannot draw the body hair by myself. This is the most conspicuous problem.

Absolutely no problem, please don't worry.

I'm not sure, however, how much body hair on the belly you want to have (without reaching to the chest), and I also forgot to ask about the backside.

Here I attach very crude test version: SAM Light Textures test for 76e.7z

you can check skin diffuse (both body and hands) 02 and matching normal map number 02 from SAM Morphs for Racemenu.

Tempered Skins for Males has a Version for SOS Light,  Can I use its maps on sam light se?

Hereby I attach hairless version of Vitruvia (malebody_03.dds) and scarred hairless one (malebody_04.dds).

As far as I remember, I suppose these two have little to none problem. 

 

Actually I also tried to convert Fried's Male Skin Textures for SAM Light before the latest update of Skysight Skins Sam Light as well as Vitruvia, but this conversion may have several problems, such as: 

  • possible seams in the side just upper the waist (especially while squatting down
  • I changed the color tones of the original to more vanilla and skysight-like, but this change may not be fine.
  • The skin tones as well as colors between Fried and Vitruvia (that I used to 'fill the missing part' in vanilla body replacer of Fried) are so different that it was difficult to harmonize with. 

I included this test version of Fried-color-tweaked plus Vitruvia for SAM Light as malebody_05.dds (body skin) and malehands_03.dds (hand skin) in the package above.

Credit should be given to: Fried's Male Skin Textures - 4k Male Skin Textures and Complexions

I in fact know very little about the texture editing in a real sense. What I did and only can do is just like a jigsaw-puzzle to combine the texture for SAM Light, and it is not so easy to write a guidance for me, neither native in English nor proficient in graphic tools like Photoshop or gimp.

  • Have you heard about UV MAP of mesh? Or have you ever open any male body texture file with Photoshop or GIMP?
  • The UV MAP of SAM/ SAM Light (the difference of UV MAP between these two are slight and easy to convert each other, though the former have more diverse variants of the body textures) are actually much closer to that of vanilla male body than SoS or Better Males. On the other hand, SoS - Light has the most distant UVMap of the body mesh from SAM/ SAM Light. So, without some advanced skill of mesh/texture editing (that I don't have), it would be a bit difficult to convert Tempered Skins for Males to SAM Light. 
  • To combine/ assemble various body texture in accordance with SAM Light's UV Map (a kind of developing plan) and to adjust colors and tones of various 'parts' of skins are in principle what to do for converting the male body textures into SAM Light. Really sorry if these sounds like all Greek to you.

I'm sorry I didn't reply for a while, but today I'm finally free to try Vitruvia SAM Light Hairless test for 76e v2.7z,As you expected,hairless version of Vitruvia (malebody_03.dds) and scarred hairless one (malebody_04.dds),there was nothing wrong with the two files, only a very slight color difference in the neck.

About the test version of Fried-color-tweaked plus Vitruvia for SAM Light as malebody_05.dds (body skin) and malehands_03.dds (hand skin) ,the whole body was covered with fine hairs, and there was a lot of sweat on the back,and the color difference in the neck is obvious.

About UV MAP of mesh and open male body texture file with Photoshop or GIMP,It's too professional for me. I don't understand it at all. Maybe I need to add some basic knowledge.

I tries to re-make a convert of Fried without any tweak as little as possible in this week, but the color as well as tone difference around the neck is very easy to discern, even in the mostly original set of converted textures.

Note that Normal Map (Muscle) has to be re-worked totally especially in the lower body, but I've not done yet. 

 

So, I wonder whether this difference almost certainly derives from the original texture sets of Fried......

Hi y_sengaku, thank your for the conversion. Vitruvia is one of my fav skin mod so nice to see it is available for SAM Light SE.

I noticed these texture seams on the feet:

the toenails texture also got some issues (like stretches) but not as prominent as these ones.

 

Will there be a chance to update the file in the future to make them less noticeable?

Unfortunately, I'm not so familiar with texture editing and that's almost all what I could (and can).

The difference of the color tone in fact comes from Skysight skin (and I at least tweaked to lessen it a little).

      This is a patch created for Yiffy Age of Skyrim so that it is compatible with SAM Light. Yiffy Age (YA) simply turns all human and mer races into furries with beast feet and beast schlongs. Each Skyrim race becomes its own unique animal species, but only the appearance of the races change (i.e., vanilla buffs remain the same).
      Assets included in the Main File:
      - Meshes
      All refitted meshes for male (human) dicks and sheaths/slits. Schlong of SAM HDT Patch (No need to download it separately!) Beast hand & foot meshes that scale with SAM body morphs. Animated tails that no longer gap at weight 0 and scale with the SAM body. Both male and female tails are now weight slidable! SAM Bodyslide files for those tails, in case you want to adjust the morphs, make them bigger, or move them around. Schlong of SAM "VP Regular" and "Muscular" meshes now correctly point at YA's Anthro textures. XML file from HDT-BBB (HDTSkinnedMeshConfigs\SAMBody.xml). Version included is "Default Bounce with collisions enabled". Updated SchlongsofSkyrim.dll Fixed briarhearts for SAM. Now includes meshes from Jamesalexian. A nude version is included. - Textures
      Foxes: Textures are from  Yiffy Age: Better Bretons, but the YA foxes do not have the eyebrows, face tints, or many other extras that mod adds. Thus, the full version is recommended. Load it along with BB SAM Textures after the SAM Patch for YA if you plan to use it. Panther: New panther texture Khajiit: Modified poblivion's Better Khajiit Kygarra: Modified MONSTERaider's Leopard Khajiit Fixed Reachman head texture. No more backwards ear! Fixed seams on a number of textures, but more yet to do. Normals: All furry races use the same normals and speculars made for YA Better Bretons in the interest of making this as seamless as possible. Let us know if you'd like a patch that sets all races back to their original YA normals for all the hairy variety back (you probably don't care as much as we do about seams). SAM Digi
      Contains both male and female meshes as well as the boot hider. Replaces YA Digi patch - use SAM Digi instead.
      SAM HDT Tails
      Contains both male and female HDT tails as well as a brand new set of HDT Argonian tails.  Let us know how you like them!  Also contains SAM bodyslides for adjustment.  Female tails no longer jitter against BHUNP and shouldn't react too badly to SAM body in scenes. Replaces the YA HDT patch.
       

      SUGGESTED LOAD ORDER
      An example load order for Mod Organizer 2 is shown below:

             0. USSEP, SKSE, Racemenu, etc. All of YA's requirements.
      SAM High Poly (Mostly for the high-poly clothing refits) SAM Racemenu Morphs Schlong of SAM Yiffy Age Consolidated 04 YA SOS SE YA SAM Patch 2.1 YA SAM Digi/HDT Tails (optional downloads) Mods like Flawn's Argonians or Vale's "Masculine" textures YA patches that are not specifically for Better Bretons YA Better Bretons and BB SAM Textures (optional, but highly recommended) Patches for YA Better Bretons (USSEP is only required if you use YA Better Bretons). BHUNP, Matchmaker, and UIExtensions/AddItemMenu are optional, but highly recommended.  

      All HDT Tails, except Argonians, will get reset by RaceMenu and might not behave properly until the game is saved and reloaded. We are working on a version without this problem. Female tails will continue to gap at lower weights until I have time to adjust them. Argonian tails are a bit high strung and jittery, but if you know how to improve them we'd love to hear about it!
       

      Since the esp overwrites the ArmorAddon for the tails it won't be compatible with other mods that change them - things like "Weight Slider Adjusted Argonian Tails" are now useless. Mods that overwrite these entries (e.g., Flawn's Argonians) might need a patch.
