HDT BBB Bounce for SAM 1.5

   (4 reviews)

About This File

Add HDT butt, breast, and belly bounce physics to SAM's body mesh with this mod.

The bounce movement was kept clean and subtle, but there may be some distortion with certain body poses.  Due to the way the vertices were weighted, it's not recommended to scale the butt, breast, or belly bones.  Doing so will cause distortions in the mesh.  Use Samson/Samuel morphs instead.

An alternate version was created where the butt bounce encompasses the entire butt rather than just the lower half.  It's considered an experiment for now.

As of version 1.2, all the gaps in the wrists and neck have been fixed.  For completion sake, SAM's default underwear was weighted alongside the butt bounce, but there is a lot of clipping on the sides.  There won't be too much time spent on it since most players would opt for SAM's nude option anyway.

As of version 1.4, the default butt bounce has been removed and the alternate butt bounce version is now the default.

Requirements:

  • HDT-PE (classic Skyrim only) or HDT-SMP (SAM Light, SE only)
  • XPMSE or my modified SAM skeleton (info below)

Installation:

Follow the installer to simply the installation process.

The default version (formally known as "global") is recommended if you don't use any other HDT-PE mods, specifically ones that modify the global xml file (SKSE\Plugins\hdtPhysicsExtensionsDefaultBBP.xml).  Most armor mods should be fine.

If you use female body mods with HDT, they have their own physics settings and may not look right on the male body.  Use the "actor" version instead which forces SAM's body mesh to use its own xml file (meshes\actors\character\character assets\malebody_hdtPhysicsExtensions.xml).  The only drawback to this is that physics for the male body will only be active on a naked characer.  Other physics-enabled mods that don't use a custom xml will use the global xml by default.

If you don't want to use XPMSE for whatever reason, you can use my modified SAM skeleton instead.  I added the butt, breasts, and belly nodes to SAM's skeleton as well as the changes from Realistic Ragdolls and Force.

High Poly body is virtually the same after update. The update includes new hand and fingernail meshes but hands are not HDT ?

It should still be working. If it's not you have another issue

Anyway to remove this scrotum hdt (1.5)? FloppySoS Conflicts. Your scrotum stretches and flies around you. XD

Besides, I think that a physical scrotum without a physical cock is a pretty bad idea.. Sorry :C

Physics-enabled penis + scrotum = no erection animation.  I don't use FloppySOS since I mainly play on SE.  If you want FloppySOS to work, you need to remove the scrotum physics and collisions from either my xml or FloppySOS xml's.  Use the JFF tool included in the HDT-PE downloads to edit them.  All these issues will be addressed in a future update.  If I try to work on too many mods at once, I won't get anything done. ?

I have an issue...

tho its not directly related to your mod, after some investigation, its apparently hdt related...

basically, my followers turn invisible when I dismiss them and then go in another cell. When I actually find them, and reload the game, they reappear but completely small. If I change their height via console, the game thinks they are giants, thus they have wonky animations. I've tried resetting them by disabling an re-enabling them with the console, but they remain stupid small.

So, if I'm understanding correctly, even when enabling the global config in this mod's installer, physics will not be enabled for male characters (i.e., bouncing) unless that character is naked? That's what I'm seeing in my game. I'd rather see the physics active for non-naked male characters, but I don't know how to get there.

Also kind of new to modding so my mod load order is:

SAM Light

SAM High Poly

HDT Physics SE

HDT BBB Bounce for SAM(this mod)

XP32 Skeleton

This mod can't solve that issue; the armors/clothing all need to be made using these HDT assets in order to have the physics. Some authors do this and others don't, based on their preferences

Ah, that makes sense. Thank you for your patience and clarification :)

Is the SMP link any good? I was trying to download it and it took me to a site I can't really understand.

It's a chinese site that requires a free registration before you can see the download links.  You can use something like Chrome to auto translate the site.  From what I understand, the permissions do not allow HDT-SMP to be uploaded to other sites.

I have the latest versions of the game, HDT-SMP, High-Poly Conversion and XPMSSE. I load HDT BBB after all three mods but the game crashes the moment I unequip my armor. If I use the provided skeleton instead it doesn't crash but there's no bounce whatsoever. Tried without High-Poly Conversion and still doesn't work. I really don't know what's wrong here.

Make sure you're not using any mod that changes the skeleton (eg. mods that change the height/build of different races).  Also, double check the log for HDT-SMP to see if it loaded correctly.

Any idea what type of mods would cause this to crash upon stripping the character armor?  Could it be conflicting mods?

Just out of curiosity, back in Oldrim there was the capability for SAM to handle mods such as FHU, or rather such mods supported SAM. Can the current set-up for SAM in SE still handle support from these mods, or has that been lost with the conversion?

Looking through the mesh files in Outfit Studio, I don't see where such support was. (Honestly, I'm leery about attempting to modify the meshes myself. I feel a bit out of my depth as to how to go about doing it.)

I do appreciate any advice or reply.
