Geralt Ursine armor for SAM 1.3

About This File

This is Geralt's Ursine armor that I ported from The Witcher 3 for SAM with support for Samson/Samuel morphs.  It's a partial port in that I didn't port the coat since it requires recreating from scratch and it's not something I'm currently interested in trying.  With the absence of the coat, I instead ported the shoulder belt and fur from the Undvik armor.  This set was intended to be used as part of my unarmed combat playthrough.

The Witcher 3 applies texture blending during gameplay to create extremely detailed textures.  To compensate for this in Skyrim, I increased the normal maps to 2k, blended the appropiate normal map detail textures, and applied the ambient occlusion map to the mesh using vertex colors.

Armor parts:

The armor parts can be crafted under the dragon armor section while the shoulder belt is in the Misc section.  They share the same stats as the dragon plate armor set.  The shoulder belt has no stats and is pureley cosmetic, but it can be enchanted with the same enchantments as jewelry.

Requirements:

  • Male skeleton from SAM or XPMSE (classic, SE)

High Poly SAM versions

  • v0 - high poly body + high poly hands (no fingernail mesh)
  • v1 - high poly body + high poly hands (fingernail mesh with separate texture)
  • v2 - high poly body + high poly hands (fingernail mesh with texture on hands)

This mod is exclusive to www.vectorplexus.com and must not be uploaded anywhere else.

As always you cease to amaze us with your 3D prowess! Great job, love the textures, one question though hun; can it be scaled to 100 in both Samuel and Samson?

Yes, my intention for my mods for SAM is to always have support for Samson/Samuel morphs even if I don't personally use them.  I'll make that more clear in the descriptions. :)

Oh no forgive me I was only wondering, as I know your work usually does support the larger scaled morphs! Btw have you ever considered making that character you use to showcase your armors a companion? I was wondering because you PC is hot and to have a living piece of Kou to fight alongside my PC would awsome!

There's a version of it that I want to eventually make as a companion, but it's using a custom skin texture that I started working on a year ago but haven't finished yet.

The armor set is amazing! It fits with skyrim perfectly. However, do you know a way to remove the fur collar of the shoulder belt? it does looks great, but  the left collar of the fur isn't connecting to the belt, which is kinda odd. Having a solo shoulder belt looks great for my Bandit Werewolf character.

The fur was originally attached to the jacket of the Undvik armor.  I tossed around the idea of creating a piece of leather under the fur to hold it in place, but that became too much work on top of everything else.  It might be something I'd consider if I want to improve the look of the armor set in the future though.

As for hiding the fur itself, the quickest way would be to use this fur texture that has the alpha channel filled for full transparency.  If you want to have the fur back, just remove that file.

Oh, I see. I kinda hoped the fur around the belt could stay but this works too. Thanks again for the invisible fur texture! I wish you well with your mod creations!

@Nullys On the Review section, could I ask how you got those ab/body textures for SAM? They're amazing. I assume it may be the skysight thing, but I gave it a try myself and didn't get the same result.

The first part of my series of Class-specific armors.

This one, loosely based on TES4:Oblivion's Mage class artwork. Big, bold, italicized on the word "loose" considering I just took the...pendant, and color scheme 😅
But anyway, 20 more armors to come out of this series.
Unlike my usual submission, It's a completely new mesh and new cloth armor that I also made it craftable (or use AddItemMenu, whichever you prefer). It's unenchanted so you can infuse any enchantments you want.
The ESP is flagged as ESL so it won't take up your load order.
Credits to everyone on BoS Discord whose relentless support keeps me going; but especially for @Darnexx & @NeutronSphere who helped me troubleshoot the problematic gloves and boots 😂 Also the bombass screenshot is by the amazing @Darnexx.
      Installation :
Install normally with your preferred mod manager. I personally use MO2. By default, it will install the version with pants.
If you want the version with thong instead of pants, load it in BodySlide and tick the thong version and just click build.
      Permission :
I can't make LE version because I no longer have it installed in my PC nor I have the knowledge to do so. If anyone wanted to convert, derive, modify; all I ask is that you share it with other people here also for everyone's benefit 😃
      Other Version :
The amazing Yusei0 ported this into FO4, head to his page to snag it! Nexus Link
