About This File

This is a modified version of SAM that removes dependencies on scripts and .esp to allow the genitals to show when fully nude by resizing and placing the genital texture on the body texture layout.  As a result, body morphs are not supported.  It's a basic body replacer along the same lines as Better Males and SOS Light.  Compatible with classic Skyrim and Special Edition.

This mod is not an official release of SAM.  Therefore, if you encounter any issues with it, please do not contact Vector about them.

Difference between full SAM

  • Lightweight due to no scripts or .esp used
  • No body morphs*
  • No dynamic body type and genital adjustments
  • No dynamic body texture options
  • Revealing armor with "SAMRevealing" node not supported
  • Werewolf and Vampire Lord not supported

*morph functionality can be added with SAM Morphs for RaceMenu

Installation

If using a mod manager, just follow the installer.

Manual installation

  • 00 and 01 are required for core functionality.
  • 02 Genital Option - Select between Cut, Uncut, or Underwear (non-nude) version
  • 03 Human Body Texture - Select one body texture for human races
  • 04 Khajiit Body Texture - Select one body texture for Khajiit race

Custom Textures

If you'd like to use your own body textures, use the layout template to resize and align the genital correctly.
Base texture 2k, resize genital texture to 256x256
Base texture 4k, resize genital texture to 512x512
Align genital texture in the green box, create selection mask with the green color, and delete the selection.

Due to genital texture resizing, minor texture seams may be visible.

Regarding Refits

Armor refits are not required for basic functionality.  They're only needed if you use SAM Morphs for RaceMenu and want the morph features.

Credit goes to Vector for the creation of Shape Atlas for Men.

Some armor mod works only with SAM and not with SAM Light(i think), so i was thinking that using both at the same time could work.

No, they are both body replacers and they act on the same files so you can't use both.

Most of the time its fine to use an armor for one with the other unless the armor either involves genitals or is super outdated

Got a question in my games the npc have different sized shlongs but some are very small and some are very unrealistically big is there a way to get the all the same sizes or cap them?😅
Thanks in advanced!

@Moddami  They should all have the same genital size unless you're using the BodyGen addon of my SAM Morphs for RaceMenu mod or something similar.

@kirbybrik No poses are included.  They're just animation files that can be pulled directly from the full SAM release.  Conversion is needed to use them for SE.

I have a problem with the underwear "overlaying" my SoS in SAM. Everything from texture, HDT bounces seem to work fine but that one problem is unsightly distraction. I tried to install every option aside the u nderwear/non-nude option when prompted but still no change. Can someone help me solve this?

This may be an odd question, but do I need Race Compatibility mod for this? Charmers of the Reach needs one and it's a high poly body, face and hair mod from Nexus. Would have having this and SAM Light Texture Addon, plus High Poly Head make this a different character race? Thank you for your time.

Race Compatibility mod is not needed since this mod only changes the default male body mesh.  No plugin is used either with the intention that it can be added/removed mid game without affecting your saves.

Thank you for the reply KouLeifoh. I do have another question, if I may. In the folder when I open it up, I cannot find the malebody_0.nif or the malebody_1.nif in the SAM Light (SE required meshes) folder. It has everything else in there but that. Would you know where to find it? I need the meshes to replace COTR's body meshes.

@ KouLeifohthank you so much man for this SE mod. I've played oldrim with SAM and couldn't do another playthrough without it 😄

One question though. I used to be able to scale the chest (or breasts) in Racemenu with SAM's skeleton. Now the slider doesn't do anything. May I know if the chest/breast bone has been removed in this version? Thank you

Chest scaling should still be possible, but breast scaling is tied to weights that are only added by my HDT-BBB Bounce mod.

Breast scaling is exactly what I was looking for. I've tried the other mod you mentioned. I couldn't scale up much as the "morph" looks like a cup shape rather than the whole chest area. Nevertheless, it was a great satisfaction. Thank you so much for your creation 😘

I have a weird issue.
Yesterday i installed SAM light and managed to get it to work. Today i login to skyrim and my character body is very thin, he has underwear and there are seams to hands and feets. I havent installed anything in the time betrween yesterday and today...

It still works as it should when wearing armor.

EDIT: i found what the culprit is: it's the mod ''SAM High Poly Conversions'' that, for some reason, causes this

Make sure you install the correct version for either LE or SE.  Using the LE version on SE will cause the morphs to fail.

Hello! I love this mod, but it seems that some of my NPCs have the wrist gap. I've tested this mod with SexLab, and I've found out that all the NPCs with this wrist gap are also having flaccid penis all the time, either during SexLab animations or Race Menu. Apparently, this happens with any male NPC who has scars on their skin, like Sven, Stenvar or Faendal (no matter their race). I wonder if anyone else is having this issue, and if there's a way to solve it. Thank you!

I figured out what happened. My problem was Males of Skyrim mod (the LE version in Nexusmods) It has a body replacer, and conflicted with SAM Light body. I found it out when I uninstalled SAM Light and installed SOS instead, causing all the guys modified by Males of Skyrim mod having 2 genitals, and if SAM Light and Males of Skyrim together, it caused the wrist gap and the flaccid... u know... So I managed to fix it by doing a copy/paste process of malebody, malefeet files from SAM Light into Males of Skyrim Mesh Body folder, and same with the malebody malehands files from SAM Light into Males of Skyrim Texture/Body folder. Just post it here if anyone is having same problem.

Hello, I have a question. Some armor mods and presets necessarily use "SAM Light", but would they also work in the normal mod (SAM)? Because SAM Light is a "reduced" version that is contained in SAM? Thanks in advance, great mod!

@bridges02  They're mostly interchangeable, but it only matters when the genitals are involved.  For example, armor for SAM Light with no genitals shown will work fine on SAM, but if the genitals are shown, then they will not look right since the UV texture mapping is different for the genitals.

For some reason both this and the regular version of this mod crash the game, I cannot figure out why.

I have been using SOS for a long time. In LE I was using SAM for a while, but since for SE is full SAM not supported, I had no choice but to use SOS.

Yesterday I decided to switch from SOS to SAM light. And I'm amazed, how ggod it looks (with high poly everything and high resolution skin).

I think now I will stay with SAM light. Since Full version supports body morphing with MCM menu, I miss that. Is there any way you can change siz of penis on NPCs? I could change the one on my character with racemenu. But can't find how to change on NPCs. Becouse for my taste, they are a bit too small.

@Qwerty40  It sounds like a skeleton issue.  The game will crash if you're using a skeleton that doesn't have genital bones.  Make sure you're not using a mod that overwrites the skeleton.  If you're using XPMSE, make sure it's loaded near the end to prevent other mods from overwriting its skeleton.

@Kiki981  Use my SAM Morphs for RaceMenu mod to easily change genital size and other morphs on NPCs in-game.

I love kreiste's vanilla refit armor.
So, I tried again to fit the Realistic Chubby Body.
Due to the addition of HDT, clipping may be severe on some bodies.

      This outfit contains body mesh.
When fitted, the Realistic Chubby Body mesh is applied.

Been a long time comin' huh?
An equippable SAM body with an HDT enabled vagina.
The body mesh is based on the High Poly SAM Body by @KouLeifoh, vagina from UUNP Special, mesh expertise by @Ulfberth.
Works with both regular SAM and SAM Light (my personal pick).
Obtain item through console or AddItemMenu.
      Requirements:
SAM or SAM Light + HDT BBB (highly recommend the High Poly edition to eliminate seams)
HDT Physics Extension (LE)/HDT Skinned Mesh Physics (SE)
UUNP Special Physics XMLs from here (for LE only)
      XPMSE/XPMSSE
This mod overrides the male skeleton nif with an edited version of XPMSE that adds vagina bones (I will try to keep it updated to the latest version).
On LE it overrides the male hands meshes as well, to account for collision (hand mesh from High Poly SAM).
It is not affected by SAM's body hair system as the mesh uses its own separate texture paths.
      Enjoy!
