About This File

This is a modified version of SAM that removes dependencies on scripts and .esp to allow the genitals to show when fully nude by resizing and placing the genital texture on the body texture layout.  As a result, body morphs are not supported.  It's a basic body replacer along the same lines as Better Males and SOS Light.  Compatible with classic Skyrim and Special Edition.

This mod is not an official release of SAM.  Therefore, if you encounter any issues with it, please do not contact Vector about them.

Difference between full SAM

  • Lightweight due to no scripts or .esp used
  • No body morphs*
  • No dynamic body type and genital adjustments
  • No dynamic body texture options
  • Revealing armor with "SAMRevealing" node not supported
  • Werewolf and Vampire Lord not supported

*morph functionality can be added with SAM Morphs for RaceMenu

Installation

If using a mod manager, just follow the installer.

Manual installation

  • 00 and 01 are required for core functionality.
  • 02 Genital Option - Select between Cut, Uncut, or Underwear (non-nude) version
  • 03 Human Body Texture - Select one body texture for human races
  • 04 Khajiit Body Texture - Select one body texture for Khajiit race

Custom Textures

If you'd like to use your own body textures, use the layout template to resize and align the genital correctly.
Base texture 2k, resize genital texture to 256x256
Base texture 4k, resize genital texture to 512x512
Align genital texture in the green box, create selection mask with the green color, and delete the selection.

Due to genital texture resizing, minor texture seams may be visible.

Regarding Refits

Armor refits are not required for basic functionality.  They're only needed if you use SAM Morphs for RaceMenu and want the morph features.

Credit goes to Vector for the creation of Shape Atlas for Men.

Is it possible to use SAM and SAM Light at the same time?

Some armor mod works only with SAM and not with SAM Light(i think), so i was thinking that using both at the same time could work.

No, they are both body replacers and they act on the same files so you can't use both.

Most of the time its fine to use an armor for one with the other unless the armor either involves genitals or is super outdated

Got a question in my games the npc have different sized shlongs but some are very small and some are very unrealistically big is there a way to get the all the same sizes or cap them?😅
Thanks in advanced!

@Moddami  They should all have the same genital size unless you're using the BodyGen addon of my SAM Morphs for RaceMenu mod or something similar.

@kirbybrik No poses are included.  They're just animation files that can be pulled directly from the full SAM release.  Conversion is needed to use them for SE.

I have a problem with the underwear "overlaying" my SoS in SAM. Everything from texture, HDT bounces seem to work fine but that one problem is unsightly distraction. I tried to install every option aside the u nderwear/non-nude option when prompted but still no change. Can someone help me solve this?

This may be an odd question, but do I need Race Compatibility mod for this? Charmers of the Reach needs one and it's a high poly body, face and hair mod from Nexus. Would have having this and SAM Light Texture Addon, plus High Poly Head make this a different character race? Thank you for your time.

Race Compatibility mod is not needed since this mod only changes the default male body mesh.  No plugin is used either with the intention that it can be added/removed mid game without affecting your saves.

Thank you for the reply KouLeifoh. I do have another question, if I may. In the folder when I open it up, I cannot find the malebody_0.nif or the malebody_1.nif in the SAM Light (SE required meshes) folder. It has everything else in there but that. Would you know where to find it? I need the meshes to replace COTR's body meshes.

@ KouLeifohthank you so much man for this SE mod. I've played oldrim with SAM and couldn't do another playthrough without it 😄

One question though. I used to be able to scale the chest (or breasts) in Racemenu with SAM's skeleton. Now the slider doesn't do anything. May I know if the chest/breast bone has been removed in this version? Thank you

Chest scaling should still be possible, but breast scaling is tied to weights that are only added by my HDT-BBB Bounce mod.

Breast scaling is exactly what I was looking for. I've tried the other mod you mentioned. I couldn't scale up much as the "morph" looks like a cup shape rather than the whole chest area. Nevertheless, it was a great satisfaction. Thank you so much for your creation 😘

I have a weird issue.
Yesterday i installed SAM light and managed to get it to work. Today i login to skyrim and my character body is very thin, he has underwear and there are seams to hands and feets. I havent installed anything in the time betrween yesterday and today...

It still works as it should when wearing armor.

EDIT: i found what the culprit is: it's the mod ''SAM High Poly Conversions'' that, for some reason, causes this

View File BodySlide Slider Sets for SAM Refits
BodySlide Slider Sets for SAM Refitting
This download contains tools you can use to help you create refits for SAM.
      Instructions:
      - Download BodySlide and Outfit Studio ( version 4.8.0 is the version I used to write the tutorial)
      - Download Caliente Tools Legendary or Caliente Tools Special depending on which version of skyrim you are making refits for
      - Drag the tools to your BodySlide install folder.

The goal was to even further simplify the refit process so that anyone can do it easily. I have included sets for both the high poly body and the low poly body, and each has hdt and non-hdt options too. I was recommended to post this as a download so that people can see it easier, so that's why I'm doing it.

I made a guide on how to use these to do your refits. You can find it here:
