About This File

This is a high poly conversion of SAM meshes.  The resulting meshes are smooth and contain around 4x the amount of vertices while still being usable for general gameplay.  It started out as something for my own personal use, but I decided to share it with everyone.  Compatible with SAM and SAM Light for both LE and SE.

High Poly Body Mesh

  • high poly body for both SAM and SAM Light variants
  • underwear was given high poly treatment
  • there are some minor sharp edges on certain poses due to weights
  • if you're on a low end system and worried about performance, stick with the default body mesh

High Poly Genital Mesh new

  • high poly genitals for both SAM and SAM Light
  • smoother edges are noticeable when zoomed in

High Poly Hand Mesh

  • high poly hands for playable human and beast races
  • new mesh is based on the vanilla HandMaleBig mesh
  • optional fingernail mesh to enhance details
  • hand mesh v2 requires manual texture editing for fingernail textures

High Poly Feet Mesh

  • symmetrical feet meshes (original mesh had a smaller right foot)
  • optional toenail mesh to enhance details even further
  • feet mesh v2 requires manual texture editing for toenail textures

High Poly Tail Mesh new

  • high poly tail meshes for Argonian and Khajiit races
  • vertex weights smoothed to look less blocky during movement

Refits

  • full vanilla refits made specifically for high poly SAM
  • minor clipping may occur during movement
  • currently does not include:  briarheart body mesh or USLEEP/USSEP changes

Fingernail/Toenail Mesh Texture

  • v1 mesh uses a separate texture for the fingernails/toenails.  Color won't change, but certain skin tones might make the nails look out of place.
  • v2 mesh requires the fingernail/toenail textures to be on the same texture as the hand/body.  This allows the use of the skin shader to change the color of the nails to match skin tone.  Use the provided texture resources to copy and paste the fingernails into the hand textures and the toenails into the body textures.

Installation

If using a mod manager, just follow the installer.

Manual Installation

  • 00 and 01 - high poly body + genital meshes, select between SAM or SAM Light (cut or uncut)
  • 02 - hand mesh, select between high poly hand with or without fingernail meshes
  • 03 - feet mesh, select between high poly feet with or without toenail meshes
  • 04 - high poly tail meshes for Argonian and Khajiit
  • 05 - refits, each subfolder covers a specific armor part (body, hand, feet), base folder covers all armor that does not include skin

  • mod now split between LE and SE to reduce filesize due to refits
  • added high poly genitals, khajiit tail, and argonian tail
  • added refits for vanilla amulets and missing gloves for beast races (bandit/leather/draugr) used by SAM
  • adjusted mesh order for monk robes (monk/necromancer/warlock/blindmothpriest) to allow texture swaps
  • adjusted vertex weights on high poly body/hands to fix/reduce sharp edges during certain animations
  • updated all refits to include updated high poly body/hands

hotfix (LE):

  • changed genitals from slot 32 to slot 52 to work with full SAM (does not affect SAM Light)

I guess that's not too unexpected, afterall the two bodies are similar enough that they fit the same meshes. But for me I noticed a clear superiority in the high poly mesh from the second I installed it lol

Thank you so much for this! There is one small issue with one of the refits--for 'light' hide armor that I noticed. I saw your hotfix in the comments for SE, but I play on LE--and I've only noticed it with argonians, weirdly enough. I went ahead and fixed it myself, hope you don't mind : x. Pictures below--

In case anyone else is experiencing this, here is the fix. Just extract it in your data folder and let it overwrite.

Hi,

I was using your mod for some time now. I was able to use your texture add-on with EBD so now, all male have different bodies.

But I encounter a problem today. I tried to play a monk character and search for monk robes. I found that there are a lot of texture for monk robes in the vanilla game but with your file monkrobes_X.nif, I can't use them (always the same texture). I tried the nif from "hot fixes vanilla clothes" and it works. I tried to figure out what differences may cause my problem but I can't find.

Maybe you can help me.

When I try to download a big file from the page it just say "Interrumped: Network Error"

Nice job man. How are you on asset usage? Been doing a bit with custom sculpt skeletons and if it was alright I'd like to start using these meshes instead for those followers I release here. Either way, keep it up

some light sam and standard sam armor mods don't support high poly and nails have to redo them all if we want to use it

I installed this along with Sam light on sse and there seems to be an odd issue with the thalmor and elven armor boots. For some reason the upper part of the boots are showing and. Look like shoes.

That might be due to the order of the TriShapes in the .nif.  The vanilla .nif has the robe listed first and the neck mesh afterwards.  To keep it compatible with RaceMenu overlays, I made the neck mesh first.  I don't remember if the game swaps textures by indices or names of the TriShapes.

They fall into the same usage permission as SAM's EULA.

Support for high poly body and nails need to be manually added for armor mods.  I only made support for the vanilla game.

Are you using any other mod that might be changing them?  My refits don't cover USLEEP/USSEP changes quite yet.

Thank you for your hard work as usual!

I noticed regular SAM version is using slot 32 on the genital meshes, like the SAM Light genitals do. It will lead to missing genitals with full SAM

Since the Nifskope plugin for 3DS Max doesn't have slot numbers, I normally just leave them to slot 32 / main body unless they use partitions.  I forgot to change the slot to 52 after exporting.  I'll upload a hotfix for it for LE.  While the SE version will also be slot 32, I only included it as a resource since full SAM doesn't function in SE.

Eventually.  I've been experimenting with trying to smooth the weights for the bounce, but the results weren't that great.  I did manage to add thigh jiggles though (SMP only).

About HDT maybe we don't need too much bounce like Jelly. Especially Chest part. Jiggle ass just a bit like realism will give great result for sex scene XD. But jelly ass so gross. XD. If i compared to old sam hdt, maybe we only need 30 percent movement power from old sam.

''We''?? HDT is not ''gross'' lol, you have two options already for normal or more bounce, if you want less make your own I guess. watch some porn you will see how much bodies can bounce, especially ass and pecs xD

I simplified it to just HDT-PE for LE and HDT-SMP for SE and added thigh jiggles to both.  As usual, they both will have a default preset (more firm and tailored to my own taste) and a bouncy/jelly preset for those that prefer it.

The sharp edges I was having during bounce is mostly fixed/reduced.  I had to study the CBBE SMP body to figure out what I was doing wrong and ended up redoing the vertex weights for both original and high poly SAM.  It looks much better now with bounce.  There are still some sharp edges since the male chest doesn't have giant balloons to hide them. 😄

That's a common server issue some users here face when trying to download large files.  There isn't much I can do about it.  I'd often have issues trying to even upload large files.

You'll have to modify the toenail mesh itself for something like that since it's not flat.

Fixed it by downloading on a faster connection, taking less time to download cuts down the chance of crash looks like
