About This File

This is a high poly conversion of SAM meshes.  The resulting meshes are smooth and contain around 4x the amount of vertices while still being usable for general gameplay.  It started out as something for my own personal use, but I decided to share it with everyone.  Compatible with SAM and SAM Light for both LE and SE.

High Poly Body Mesh

  • high poly body for both SAM and SAM Light variants
  • underwear was given high poly treatment
  • there are some minor sharp edges on certain poses due to weights
  • if you're on a low end system and worried about performance, stick with the default body mesh

High Poly Genital Mesh new

  • high poly genitals for both SAM and SAM Light
  • smoother edges are noticeable when zoomed in

High Poly Hand Mesh

  • high poly hands for playable human and beast races
  • new mesh is based on the vanilla HandMaleBig mesh
  • optional fingernail mesh to enhance details
  • hand mesh v2 requires manual texture editing for fingernail textures

High Poly Feet Mesh

  • symmetrical feet meshes (original mesh had a smaller right foot)
  • optional toenail mesh to enhance details even further
  • feet mesh v2 requires manual texture editing for toenail textures

High Poly Tail Mesh new

  • high poly tail meshes for Argonian and Khajiit races
  • vertex weights smoothed to look less blocky during movement

Refits

  • full vanilla refits made specifically for high poly SAM
  • minor clipping may occur during movement
  • currently does not include:  briarheart body mesh or USLEEP/USSEP changes

Fingernail/Toenail Mesh Texture

  • v1 mesh uses a separate texture for the fingernails/toenails.  Color won't change, but certain skin tones might make the nails look out of place.
  • v2 mesh requires the fingernail/toenail textures to be on the same texture as the hand/body.  This allows the use of the skin shader to change the color of the nails to match skin tone.  Use the provided texture resources to copy and paste the fingernails into the hand textures and the toenails into the body textures.

Installation

If using a mod manager, just follow the installer.

Manual Installation

  • 00 and 01 - high poly body + genital meshes, select between SAM or SAM Light (cut or uncut)
  • 02 - hand mesh, select between high poly hand with or without fingernail meshes
  • 03 - feet mesh, select between high poly feet with or without toenail meshes
  • 04 - high poly tail meshes for Argonian and Khajiit
  • 05 - refits, each subfolder covers a specific armor part (body, hand, feet), base folder covers all armor that does not include skin

  • added high poly genitals, khajiit tail, and argonian tail
  • added refits for vanilla amulets and missing gloves for beast races (bandit/leather/draugr) used by SAM
  • adjusted mesh order for monk robes (monk/necromancer/warlock/blindmothpriest) to allow texture swaps
  • adjusted vertex weights on high poly body/hands to fix/reduce sharp edges during certain animations
  • updated all refits to include updated high poly body/hands

  • changed genitals from slot 32 to slot 52 to work with full SAM (does not affect SAM Light)

This mod has options to support either full sam or sam light, you just have to make sure you've chosen the correct options for your setup in the fomod.

Same as with SAM Light, i keep getting "Failed - Network error" and i can't downlaod the mod, can anyone help?

Howdy All!  Not sure if this has been answered and please forgive me if it has been...

I'm having an unusual issue. I recently bit the bullet and made the switch from LE to SSE. SAM light worked fine in LE but for some reason the shoulders are a bit off here in SSE. It looks sort of 'hunch back'  like. Not sure what i'm doing wrong because the form ws perfect in LE. Anyhow here's some pics showing what I mean:

Any idea what could have happened to make them so "square" like that?

I am having trouble with the finger nail and toe nail textures for version two of the high poly mesh. I copied and pasted the textures provided in the resources to their respective hand/body textures using Photoshop. However, in game, the skin is blue and the nails do not show on the hand or body. Any help would be appreciated!

Make sure you installed the v2 versions of each.  The default ones have the fingernails and toenail meshes hidden.  Even with bad textures, the nails should still be visible.

Thanks for the help! I'm not sure how I managed to not do that before even when reinstalling the mod, but now the nails are visible. The skin, however, is a dark blue if I use the textures that I copy and pasted the nails on to (shown below and is visible in the previous image I posted), but look normal if I use the original nail-less textures (second pic).

It's a texture compression issue.  For the best compatibility, make sure you use DXT1 or no compression (or BC7 if you're playing on SE).

Hi, this mesh is such a huge improvement! My only issue is something up with the Blades armor. It shows up kind of green in-game for some reason, as you can see in the first screenshot.

The refitted boots and gauntlets and the female armors look normal. I went into nifskope and discovered that the male armor uses a different cubemap than the female, so I changed it to use the same one, and it looks better but still pretty clearly wrong.

I didn't change any of the textures.  If you're using custom cubemaps, the difference might be why it's now more noticeable.

Oke thank you for making all these mods. First of all I know nothing about computers and mods. So I have these problems

- SAM Racemenu. In charachter creation (pre-game video and then charachter creation). My toon always wear clothes

- When I use SAMTarget, the npc keeps his clothes on

- The vanilla refit does not seem to work

- With SAM HD textures, the penis does not texture with the rest

- If I try to add the Schlongs of Skyrim mod. It says the mod is out of date + I can't seem to disable the underwear. " SOS WARNING" Schlongs of Skyrim is not found, or installed version is too old. Found - 1, expected 300004. Please exit game and reinstall."

- Not using SkyrimUI, cause I keeps crashing

Edit:

I found the right SkyUI for SE. But the Mods says: No schlong found?

SAM (full version) is only for LE, not SE.  I only support SAM Light for SE.  SOS is a different mod with a completely different body mesh.  They're not compatible.  A hybrid setup is used at your own discretion.

For SE, your ideal options are SAM Light and SAM Morphs for RaceMenu.  SAM High Poly Conversion can be installed on top of that.

Yes I am using  the SAM Morphs for RaceMenu. Is it normal the npc's keep there clothes on during morphing?

I don't think SAM High Poly conversion is working correctly? I adjusted 1 to 01 and 02 etc in SAM Textures. However the genitals don't adjust with the rest of the body.

I am not entirely sure what I am doing wrong. I installed the high poly head, this mod and texture, but I keep getting neck seams.  I also use krieste armour replacements if that helps.  Can anyone help? 

*EDIT* After some testing its a load order issue, I fixed the neck seam but now everyone has the same body as my character and I don't want that.  😞

@Chimerae1992  NPC's don't strip when their morphs change.  The texture feature is meant for SAM Light only (as per description).  The genitals are located on the same texture as the body.  SAM/SOS has them on a completely separate texture.  I change the texture based on the internal name of the mesh.  UV morphing is not in the current release.

@Malnous  As far as I'm aware, krieste's armor replacements all use my high poly SAM body meshes.  They will look the same on any NPC that wears them.  The difference is weight (and morphs like Samson/Samuel).  If you simply want to use a different body texture than the default racial ones, then you'll have to create a custom player record and have it use a custom body with a different texture set as the default.

Hi, thank you for the conversions!

I'm using default settings, and I noticed that on some vanilla refits (especially when the NPC is sitting), there are some clips in torso area. mostly in joints between torso and arms. When NPCs are walking, on some outfits the thighs have huge clips with outfit but I guess that is expected and also found in vanilla body.

That's normal.  The SAM body vertex weights don't match vanilla.  So there will be some clipping during movement.  One way to fix it is to open each armor in Outfit Studio and copy the weights over from the armor to the body parts.  I've been meaning to do it for a future update.

If you wanna go topless without the harness, you lose more than half of the armor rating since apparently, I still has some semblance of common sense even when it comes to bikini armor. If it's not already obvious, you need to have already learned Glass Smithing perk to craft the light version; and Orcish Smithing perk to craft the heavy version. You also need their respective materials as well.

      My ENB is ultra bright, so the textures might look a tad bit darker without any ENB.  The soulgems are squeezed when you crouch and sorta bounce coz of HDT. Don't know any other way around that. Slide to my DMs if you have any ideas how to.
      Major props to @AOF for fixing the jiggling Soulgems. Thank you so much! Gloves somewhat clip. Curse them finger bones! However, they shouldn't be too noticeable.  Clipping is expected at this point due to how Skyrim skeleton works. Do tell me if something bug your nerves out and I juuust might be able to smoothen it up.  If you found any errors, glitches, and/or clipping issues, please notify me and I'll fix them.  Credits :

      Description : 
      A set of craft-able modular clothing pieces, tailored to a youthful scientist, philosopher, amateur wizard, and something of a musician (though supposedly that's more of a hobby); who's on an academic expedition in Skyrim. Inspired by his original look, this is a remodeled Fine Clothes, dyed in green and blue color to represent his scholarly background and adorable personality. Of course, since in my version of Tamriel, everyone else is proudly half-naked, he embraced the exhibitionist nature of the culture by adorning his torso with expensive gold jewelry.
      The armor consists of : 
      Belt [Slot 49] Pouch [Slot 47] Capelet [Slot 56] Jewelry [Slot 35]  Sash [Slot 58] Skirt [Slot 53] Sleeves [Slot 34] Thong [Slot 32, Body] Chaps [Slot 54]  Pants [Slot 32 + 54, Body and overwrite the Chaps] Boots [Slot 37, Feet] Gloves [Slot 33, Hands] If it wasn't already obvious, for the lower half, you can choose a combination of Pants or Thong (and/or Chaps). The Jewelry is equivalent to an amulet/necklace and pre-enchanted with Fortify Magicka, while the Pouch is pre-enchanted with Fortify Carry Weight to accommodate making him a pack mule (Just don't give him tons of firewood, he'll hate you for it). 
      Requirements : 
      HDT BBB Bounce by KouLeiFoh. This armor has HDT applied. No support will be given to users who install this armor without HDT BBB Bounce. Installation :

      Feel free to alter the meshes to your liking if you know how to. I encourage you to share your derivations for others who cannot do it themselves with no charge. The reason why I learn to mod is because 9 out of 10 armors in the screenshot threads were unobtainable for downloads so I say, screw it, I'll learn to do it myself and be the change I want to see in the gay Skyrim community. 
      Conversion to LE : 
      I don't know, sorry.  If anyone want to convert it to LE, I'll put it up as a link here. LE conversion done by @ljtysunsky! Send him loves if you uses it ❤️ 
      Known Issues : 
      Sometimes when wearing Thong/Pants, the Sleeves failed to appear. This is an innate bug inside Skyrim engine that, until today, no one knows how to permanently fix it. If it happens to you, do a quicksave and reload. Since I don't work in Bethesda Studios, I can't fix this. If you fail to read this little footnote in the bottom, I won't reply your message
