SAM High Poly Conversion 1.5

About This File

This is a high poly conversion of SAM meshes.  The resulting meshes are smooth and contain around 4x the amount of vertices while still being usable for general gameplay.  It started out as something for my own personal use, but I decided to share it with everyone.  Compatible with SAM and SAM Light for both LE and SE.

High Poly Body Mesh

  • high poly body for both SAM and SAM Light variants
  • underwear was given high poly treatment
  • there are some minor sharp edges on certain poses due to weights
  • if you're on a low end system and worried about performance, stick with the default body mesh

High Poly Genital Mesh new

  • high poly genitals for both SAM and SAM Light
  • smoother edges are noticeable when zoomed in

High Poly Hand Mesh

  • high poly hands for playable human and beast races
  • new mesh is based on the vanilla HandMaleBig mesh
  • optional fingernail mesh to enhance details
  • hand mesh v2 requires manual texture editing for fingernail textures

High Poly Feet Mesh

  • symmetrical feet meshes (original mesh had a smaller right foot)
  • optional toenail mesh to enhance details even further
  • feet mesh v2 requires manual texture editing for toenail textures

High Poly Tail Mesh new

  • high poly tail meshes for Argonian and Khajiit races
  • vertex weights smoothed to look less blocky during movement

Refits

  • full vanilla refits made specifically for high poly SAM
  • minor clipping may occur during movement
  • currently does not include:  briarheart body mesh or USLEEP/USSEP changes

Fingernail/Toenail Mesh Texture

  • v1 mesh uses a separate texture for the fingernails/toenails.  Color won't change, but certain skin tones might make the nails look out of place.
  • v2 mesh requires the fingernail/toenail textures to be on the same texture as the hand/body.  This allows the use of the skin shader to change the color of the nails to match skin tone.  Use the provided texture resources to copy and paste the fingernails into the hand textures and the toenails into the body textures.

Installation

If using a mod manager, just follow the installer.

Manual Installation

  • 00 and 01 - high poly body + genital meshes, select between SAM or SAM Light (cut or uncut)
  • 02 - hand mesh, select between high poly hand with or without fingernail meshes
  • 03 - feet mesh, select between high poly feet with or without toenail meshes
  • 04 - high poly tail meshes for Argonian and Khajiit
  • 05 - refits, each subfolder covers a specific armor part (body, hand, feet), base folder covers all armor that does not include skin

  • mod now split between LE and SE to reduce filesize due to refits
  • added high poly genitals, khajiit tail, and argonian tail
  • added refits for vanilla amulets and missing gloves for beast races (bandit/leather/draugr) used by SAM
  • adjusted mesh order for monk robes (monk/necromancer/warlock/blindmothpriest) to allow texture swaps
  • adjusted vertex weights on high poly body/hands to fix/reduce sharp edges during certain animations
  • updated all refits to include updated high poly body/hands

hotfix (LE):

  • changed genitals from slot 32 to slot 52 to work with full SAM (does not affect SAM Light)

It only affects the naked body and the included armor refits.  The difference is subtle if you've never really noticed the blocky edges of the original SAM meshes.

So, I ran into an weird problem with the mod. the hands are not scaling to the body. I reloaded the file and it did the same thing again. I it has to be something simple, everything else is working fine.

Hi, I need a little help, a simple question, where will this mod be accommodated? after SAM Core, or before or after XMPS?

I play in pc Skyrim LE use Normal SAM

@Lyzder During installation, pick either cut or uncut versions for SAM Light.  The original SAM requires the underwear option.

@LovinInDeep Make sure the hands (and morphs) are not being replaced by another mod.  The morphs will fail if they don't match the mesh they're intended for.  Also don't use LE meshes in SE since morphs do not work on LE meshes.

@Hungustus I already posted a temporary Google Drive mirror here.

@Nachtigall Miseme Load it after SAM Core since it'll replace the assets.  It doesn't matter for XPMS since no skeleton is included.

      IMPORTANT: Please also head to https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/40845 and download the replacement .esp otherwise you will have big gaps between your body and hands / feet. You don't need the 3BA conversion or the textures (unless you want them of course but you will either need the .esp or will need to open the .esp yourself in xedit and add the calf and forearm flags to the first person model under the armor addon section.

      This was by far the trickiest refit I've worked on so far, its just the perfect mix of being open enough I can't just mask all the verticces out and tight enough that it 100% will clip in motion without finagling. I think I've got it OK now but it is more susceptible to clipping than previous outfits I've done and I'm still a novice with refitting, should be good unless you use crazy slider settings or extreme poses. Photos above taken at like 60 body weight and 40 Samuel and 100 body weight -20 Samuel

      This is a patch created for Yiffy Age of Skyrim so that it is compatible with SAM Light. Yiffy Age (YA) simply turns all human and mer races into furries with beast feet and beast schlongs. Each Skyrim race becomes its own unique animal species, but only the appearance of the races change (i.e., vanilla buffs remain the same).
      Assets included in the Main File:
      - Meshes
      All refitted meshes for male (human) dicks and sheaths/slits. Schlong of SAM HDT Patch (No need to download it separately!) Beast hand & foot meshes that scale with SAM body morphs. Animated tails that no longer gap at weight 0 and scale with the SAM body. Both male and female tails are now weight slidable! SAM Bodyslide files for those tails, in case you want to adjust the morphs, make them bigger, or move them around. Schlong of SAM "VP Regular" and "Muscular" meshes now correctly point at YA's Anthro textures. XML file from HDT-BBB (HDTSkinnedMeshConfigs\SAMBody.xml). Version included is "Default Bounce with collisions enabled". Updated SchlongsofSkyrim.dll Fixed briarhearts for SAM. Now includes meshes from Jamesalexian. A nude version is included. - Textures
      Foxes: Textures are from  Yiffy Age: Better Bretons, but the YA foxes do not have the eyebrows, face tints, or many other extras that mod adds. Thus, the full version is recommended. Load it along with BB SAM Textures after the SAM Patch for YA if you plan to use it. Panther: New panther texture Khajiit: Modified poblivion's Better Khajiit Kygarra: Modified MONSTERaider's Leopard Khajiit Fixed Reachman head texture. No more backwards ear! Fixed seams on a number of textures, but more yet to do. Normals: All furry races use the same normals and speculars made for YA Better Bretons in the interest of making this as seamless as possible. Let us know if you'd like a patch that sets all races back to their original YA normals for all the hairy variety back (you probably don't care as much as we do about seams). SAM Digi
      Contains both male and female meshes as well as the boot hider. Replaces YA Digi patch - use SAM Digi instead.
      SAM HDT Tails
      Contains both male and female HDT tails as well as a brand new set of HDT Argonian tails.  Let us know how you like them!  Also contains SAM bodyslides for adjustment.  Female tails no longer jitter against BHUNP and shouldn't react too badly to SAM body in scenes. Replaces the YA HDT patch.
       

      SUGGESTED LOAD ORDER
      An example load order for Mod Organizer 2 is shown below:

             0. USSEP, SKSE, Racemenu, etc. All of YA's requirements.
      SAM High Poly (Mostly for the high-poly clothing refits) SAM Racemenu Morphs Schlong of SAM Yiffy Age Consolidated 04 YA SOS SE YA SAM Patch 2.1 YA SAM Digi/HDT Tails (optional downloads) Mods like Flawn's Argonians or Vale's "Masculine" textures YA patches that are not specifically for Better Bretons YA Better Bretons and BB SAM Textures (optional, but highly recommended) Patches for YA Better Bretons (USSEP is only required if you use YA Better Bretons). BHUNP, Matchmaker, and UIExtensions/AddItemMenu are optional, but highly recommended.  

      All HDT Tails, except Argonians, will get reset by RaceMenu and might not behave properly until the game is saved and reloaded. We are working on a version without this problem. Female tails will continue to gap at lower weights until I have time to adjust them. Argonian tails are a bit high strung and jittery, but if you know how to improve them we'd love to hear about it!
       

      Since the esp overwrites the ArmorAddon for the tails it won't be compatible with other mods that change them - things like "Weight Slider Adjusted Argonian Tails" are now useless. Mods that overwrite these entries (e.g., Flawn's Argonians) might need a patch.
